Caroline K. Dixon

Providence for a First Mom

Caroline grew up in Norfolk, Virginia and joined the Marines shortly after she graduated from Maury High School.  She traveled across the United States and to Okinawa and Korea.  Joining the military to escape, she quickly appreciated the opportunity to serve her country in a very important way.  It was there she met her husband, Brian, also a Marine, and call Louisiana home. From different worlds, their differences contributed to the marriage of nearly 32 years. Brian and Caroline have two children, Wayne and Krista. Wanting to be a nurse, she attended Carteret Technical College in Morehead City, NC, and became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1985. Caroline continued her education and became a Registered Nurse in 1996. Shortly after that, she met Rebecca, her birth daughter. Brian claimed her as his own from the moment he met her.  Their family continues to grow, and they count each addition precious blessings.  In addition to their three children, they have a daughter-in-law, Allie, a son-in-law, AJ, and three grandsons, Preston, Logan and Landon. They enjoy their dogs, Lucy and Tiggy and a menagerie of grand-pets!
